In HR, "talent" is often broadly defined. But here's the real question: How do you spot natural talent?

Is it an impressive resume with stints at top international firms? No, that shows ambition—not creativity, problem-solving, or organizational skills.

True talent surprises.

Most deliver exactly what's asked—nothing more, nothing less. These results meet the requirements but often miss the mark where it really counts. The toughest challenges remain unsolved, much like a blog post written by AI: technically correct, but lacking in unexpected insights.

Delegation should lead to new perspectives, not just saved time.

Be open to the surprises true talent brings. When someone consistently delivers these surprises, support them.

What do you think? How do you define and recognize "talent"?

Feel free to share it in the comments!
